How Hat Hire Works
Hiring a hat from The Extraordinary Hat Company is simple and designed to make sure you have the perfect finishing touch for your special occasion.
1. Choose Your Hat
Browse our collection of hats, hatinators, fascinators and headpieces online and select the one you would like to hire.
Each hat listing includes photographs and details to help you choose the style that suits your outfit and event.
2. Select Your Hire Period
Choose the hire period that best suits your event:
4 days
7 days
10 days
16 days
23 days
The hire period begins on your collection date and ends on your agreed return date.
3. Book Your Hire
Complete your booking online and make full payment for the hire.
At the time of booking you will also provide your name, address, telephone number and card details as part of the hire agreement.
A £100 refundable security deposit is required for each hat hired. This will be refunded within 3–5 business days after the hat has been returned and inspected.
4. Optional Viewing Appointment
If you would like to see the hat before committing to hire, you are very welcome to book an appointment with Pat at The Extraordinary Hat Company.
This allows you to try on the hat, check the colour against your outfit and receive advice on fit and styling.
If you choose to hire a hat without viewing it first, please note that the cancellation policy outlined in our Hat Hire Terms & Conditions will apply.
5. Collect Your Hat
Your hat can be collected from the shop (19 Norwich Street, Fakenham, Norfolk, NR21 9AF) on the agreed collection date during normal opening hours.
Opening Hours
Tuesday – Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Your hat will be provided in a protective hat box.
Once the hat leaves the shop, it is considered hired, whether or not it is worn.
6. Enjoy Your Special Occasion
Wear and enjoy your hat for your event.
Please take care of the hat during the hire period and store it in the hat box provided when not being worn.
7. Return the Hat
Return the hat and hat box on or before the agreed return date during normal shop opening hours unless otherwise agreed with us in writing.
8. Deposit Refund
Once the hat has been returned and checked to ensure it is in the same condition as when it was hired, your £100 deposit will be refunded within 3–5 business days.
